This program is a highly immersive, week-long summer civics and leadership program for high school students who are finishing their junior year & entering their senior year. The Badger Girls State is managed by the American Legion Auxiliary. 

The American Legion Oratorical Contest is an annual constitutional speaking competition for high school students. It challenges young people to explore the U.S. Constitution while developing leadership and public speaking skills, competing for significant college scholarships.

Camp American Legion is a 74-acre retreat in Lake Tomahawk, Wisconsin, that provides free rest, recuperation, and rehabilitation to Wisconsin veterans, active-duty military members, and their families. 

County Youth Government Day is designed to teach students about the importance of their county government and to give them the information and confidence necessary to increase the voting numbers at the polls. Ultimately educating the youth to become better citizens creates an atmosphere for a cleaner and more effective government. 

WALLECA is an Americanism program of The American Legion, Department of Wisconsin, designed for junior and senior high school Students to learn and get first-hand experience in the operations of law enforcement agencies.

 The mission of The American Legion's Be The One initiative is to reduce the number of veterans and servicemembers lost to suicide. We're leading the effort to reduce the stigma associated with mental health treatment, providing free suicide prevention training and empowering everyone to take appropriate action when a veteran or service member may be at risk – one life at a time. 

The American Legion offers a variety of college and vocational or trade school scholarships that support academic achievement, leadership, and military-connected families. These programs help eligible students nationwide to pursue higher education and achieve their goals.

The American Legion School Award Medal Program recognizes graduating students who display outstanding character, citizenship, and patriotism. Local posts present medals and certificates to one boy and one girl in graduating classes across elementary, junior high, senior high, and college levels.

The American Legion is the largest collective blood-donor to the Red Cross? The American Legion adopted Resolution 33, calling for our organization to assist in Homeland Security preparedness - the blood supply is a matter of Homeland Security.
